 Manu Samoa Manu Samoa coach Niko Palamo has named his final 26 squad for the remainder of its Pacific Nations Cup campaign for this year. After a disappointing win-less in three games against Fiji, Australia A and recently the NZ Maoris, Samoa will look to up the tempo and improve on its current standing against the final two opponents Japan and Tonga. Today we failed to back up the same performance displayed last week in Wrexham in that we were convincingly defeated by an organized and much bigger Australian side 32-0. It was a very wet day and the Australian used their front line right in the outset of the game to attack us. They used a strong kicking game keeping our team on our side of the field putting them under pressure all the time. more>> |

Try time for Samoa
(16/06/08) It is a case of could of, should have for Samoa. They gave 2 away two intercept tries when they were on attack and class players like Timana Tahu and Morgan Turinui lapped them up with utter ease. Spirit was not an issue and the Blue jerseys sunk their bodies into everything today, one problem was they kicked a lot and didn't get real attacks generated. This allowed the Aussies to dictate terms and gain territory, which is so crucial in wet rugby like today. more>> |
