After five months of local and international tournaments utilized as selection vehicle for Samoa eligible players around the world, the Vice Chairman of the Samoa Rugby Union – Laauli Alan Grey today endorsed the following Manu Samoa Squad for 2006. 

The Samoa Rugby Union also announces the rest of the Management Team for Manu Samoa that was endorsed by SRU Chairman – Tuilaepa Saipele Malielegaoi last weekend for 2006 and for the Rugby World Cup 2007. more>>

 

 

Argentina 10-8 Samoa

A drop goal in the dying stages clinched the win for Argentina and cruelly robbed the Samoans, who had looked set to pull off a result that earlier seemed highly unlikely.

The Division A encounter in the IRB Under 19 World Championship 2006 at Sharjah Wanderers was dominated by Argentina for most of the first half, but they were still trailing 3-0 to a 25th minute penalty by Ki Anufe until injury time.

Pacific Rugby Cup set for ignition

The International Rugby Board (IRB) has announced the schedule and format of the inaugural Pacific Rugby Cup which will kick off on April 15.
The competition will involve representative teams from the three 'Tier Two' unions in the Pacific - Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.
