Samoa fought out a gripping 25-21 win over the USA on Wednesday, holding off a stiff Eagles fightback to claim the spoils.
The Samoans led 12-0 within ten minutes and looked to have the game safe leading 22-3 at the break, but The USA, angered by a yellow card shown to US number eight Tasi Mounga, rallied and clawed their way back into the game, just failing to find enough incision to make their later supriority count.
